GrowthX Farms Joins the Farm Tech Society

We are proud to announce that GrowthX Farms has joined the Farm Tech Society.

Farm Tech Society (FTS) is a Belgium-based international non-profit industry association that unites and supports the Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) industry, seeking to strengthen the sector through the development and implementation of resilient and future proof methods and technologies for indoor growing.

FTS addresses the need to increase the production for nutritious and healthy food products without damaging the planet, restore the soils and allow new career options and living wages for agriculture professionals.

Since 2016, GrowthX Farms mission has been to reach underserved consumers and improve food safety and security, through a high tech approach to food production. Our vision has been to develop a cost-effective Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) in order to protect the environment by wasting less water, avoiding land erosion by using hydroponic systems, saving energy by using natural sunlight, and reducing food waste by producing and selling locally.

All of our products are free of pesticides, which improves food safety, quality and security. At our Panama facilities, 90% of our workforce is indigenous tribes and women (Ngobe-Bugle tribe), and we educate them on our hydroponic system, in addition to providing safe working conditions.

GrowthX Farms continues to innovate in the AgriTech sector by building high tech clusters both regionally and globally, while building strong local brands and producing superior quality berries.

GrowthX Farms is owned by Bacalia Group, a dynamic privately-held holding company that has been investing in infrastructure and greentech for the past 10 years, while pioneering and practicing environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and business governance.
